What a winter we're having!

Hello everyone and welcome to our latest newsletter.  We're sure that like us, you are eagerly awaiting spring and a reduction in mud.  We have as always been busy at NSRDA, and are now well into Term 3 of riding, and well through our 50th Anniversary year, with one celebratory event complete and a large community event in planning.

Once again thank you to all our volunteers, sponsors, donors, and staff who continue to make North Shore Riding For the Disabled so special.

We invite you to read on to find out what's been happening at North Shore RDA.

Presidents Welcome

Hello everyone, and welcome to our latest newsletter.  We have as always been busy at NSRDA, and are now well into Term 3 of riding.  Read on for more detail on what we're up to including our 50th Anniversary celebrations.

Thank you for all your time, patience and for making possible what we do to Reach more Riders, Change More Lives.

What a fantastic Arena for Hire!

We have a fantastic covered arena and facilities according to a number of people that have hired our arena and barn in recent times.  With the covered arena, adjacent horse stalls, warm water wash bay, dedicated sprinkler system and lighting, plus the barn, kitchen and bathroom facilities, what’s not to like?

Introducing Helen Hughes

Helen has been a volunteer at North Shore RDA for the past 5 years and at our recent AGM put her hand up to join our Governance Committee.  Read about Helen's background and how she was motivated to step onto the committee.

Awnya’s Story – Riding in Good time

At North Shore Riding for the Disabled, we see the profound impact that patience, structure, and a calm environment can have on our riders. One of the most heartwarming transformations recently has been with Awnya, a young girl with autism who has been breaking through her usual barriers and finding moments of connection and joy with her horse, Phoenix.

Coach's Brief

It’s well known how Horse riding offers a wide range of physical, cognitive, emotional and social benefits. At NSRDA, we enable riders, who for various reasons, require additional support, to access the healing powers of the horse.

Horse News!

Horse Manager Michelle, introduces our latest herd addition Hick, he has quite a colourful history, and Michelle asks our readers to keep a look out for our ideal next horse additions

Volunteer Help Needed!

We are in need of volunteers from our community to help with our work load.

If you’re interested in a fulfilling time, then there are a few areas we are looking for volunteers, and it's not all about horses 😉

Wilson School
