New Life Member awarded and long service recognised
At our Annual General Meeting in May, we made a very special award to Tim Lofts, our previous President. Tim was awarded Life Membership of North Shore RDA, in recognition of his many achievements and years volunteering for our Group.
Tim joined NSRDA in 2015 having responded to a Facebook Post for Treasurer. He became group President in 2018, serving 5 years in that role before stepping back into the Vice President position for a couple of years, providing support and continuity when Christine Fallas took over as President.
During his time in the three executive committee roles, Tim dedicated many hours to fundraising for the group. His corporate knowledge was a huge benefit, and we have received a large portion of our donations and sponsorship thanks to Tim’s effort.
During Tim’s time on the Committee he worked tirelessly to improve the facilities at the Group, both for our riders and volunteers. This included the development of the Volunteer’s Car Park, a new Mounting Ramp, a new storage shed for our tractor and hay supplies, and the Sensory Trail, concluding in 2024 by the completion of the arena roof – a project very much assisted by our Trust Board and, especially, the outstanding fundraising efforts of Board Trustee, Adrienne Cranshaw.
In 2025, Tim also signed on our first Corporate Sponsor, Kalmar Construction Ltd, who have been a strong supporter of NSRDA.
Tim finally made the decision to resign from our committee this year effective at our AGM in May. Although retired from the Governance committee, Tim is still actively involved with NSRDA. He remains a Trust board member and is still active as a fundraiser for our Group. Many thanks Tim.
Long Service Awards
North Shore RDA thrives as a result of the dedication and many hours of work put in by our wonderful Volunteers. At our AGM we were pleased to provide Long Service awards to Jillian Potter and Cyril Anderson for 10 years of service, and Robyn Woolley, Ros Sequeira and Angela Gainsborough-Waring for 5 years of service.
We cannot operate without our Volunteers so our heartfelt thanks and congratulations go to all.
