A big welcome to our newest pony – Poutu.  She was offered to us from a very rural farm in Port Albert. Her living arrangements involved babysitting a very cute mule foal. 

She is originally from the Poutō peninsula on the Kaipara Harbour and whilst we are not clear on her history, we are working on building up her trust.

She is what is known as a dun in colour due to the visible dorsal stripe across her back. 

Poutu is proving very dependable and has taken on her role at NSRDA with ease and we are confident she will become an integral part of our programme.
