Tom Webster appointed NSRDA Ambassador

Tom Webster is a UK-born, New Zealand architect and the host of Grand Designs New Zealand.  Having trained and worked in the UK, he now runs an Auckland-based practice with his architect wife Anna focusing on thoughtful, bespoke residential projects.

Tom has huge enthusiasm for the depth and breadth of architectural possibilities, with a back catalogue including ancient, contemporary, sustainable and high-tech building projects, including collaborating on the highly acclaimed Hotel Britomart – New Zealand’s first five Green Star hotel in downtown Auckland.

He also embraces multi-disciplinary design and is a qualified car designer and a former computer games artist. Tom loves connecting with people and feels that the opportunity to be part of the amazing personal journeys of the Grand Designers is a great privilege.

Tom helped us in 2024 by hosting the official opening of our new Arena Roof and has now confirmed that he would like a longer-term, deeper involvement with North Shore Riding for the Disabled through becoming our Ambassador.

Tom said “When I helped at the opening ceremony for the new Arena Roof and saw first-hand the amazing work and commitment of everyone at North Shore RDA, I just felt an affinity to their ethos and vision. Becoming their Ambassador simply allows me to take that to another level and help them in their efforts.”

Christine Fallas, President of NSRDA, said “We are very pleased to welcome Tom to the RDA family and we are sure he will do everything he can to help us in our Vision to ‘Reach More Riders – Change More Lives’. We are looking forward to a long a fruitful relationship.”
