Volunteer long service awards
At our recent AGM we awarded Long Service awards to many volunteers. We started this initiative a few years ago to recognise the dedication of people who work with us for an extended period by awarding five and ten Year Long Service Badges. Awards were handed out by Tim Lofts, outgoing President and David Grey, a founding member of North Shore RDA and part of the original NSRDA committee who purchased our land at Aubrey Road. This year we decided to create a permanent record of our Long Service Awards and created Long Service Boards which will be updated at each AGM. We have also used this opportunity to recognise the contribution of two very long-standing prior members of NSRDA and named the awards after them:
The David Grey 5 Year Long Service Awards board and the The Bruce Westbrooke 10 Year Long Service Awards board.
David Grey also awarded Colleen Masters an special award to recognise her 25 years of outstanding commitment and service to North Shore RDA. Colleen was also recognised last week at NZ RDA's national conference, for her fantastic committment to Riding for the Disabled.
